' The Little Sprouts Club '

A special place where children with all abilities come together every weekend to learn, play, and grow—just like little sprouts. It’s a safe, supportive space where each child can blossom in their own way while exploring new activities, making friends, and celebrating their unique strengths.

Throughout the year, The Little Sprouts Club 🪴 enjoys different things that change with the seasons, allowing children to appreciate the beauty of nature and the world around them.

Daisy — silent in speech, she finds her voice through art

Ken — with an angel's kiss on his cheek, he always wears the brightest smile

Lina — an adventurous little explorer who enjoys collecting cats

Marco — who loves sharing with everyone the joy of making delicious food

Maia — a shy little person who enjoys being in her own world

Sofie — she will conquer the world with her little arm

Luis — the best listener who remembers everything about everyone

Character study:

My goal as an illustrator is to create characters that feel like a safe harbor, serving as gentle, trusted friends for the children who invite them into their stories.

  • Curvilinear Design: Utilizing rounded, organic shapes to maximize visual accessibility and approachability.
  • Form Optimization: Prioritizing soft-edged silhouettes to reduce cognitive load and minimize aggressive geometry.
  • Psychological Cohesion: Integrating warm, low-contrast palettes to establish a secure, grounding presence within the page’s visual hierarchy.

When winter comes, Miss Honey Lou sells her handmade wreaths at the local tree farm. She loves nothing more than seeing the Sproutlings, the friends she teaches to knit, garden, and bake.

— ' Ella the Wary-Wren '

This is Ella, a tiny girl and a bundle of nerves who’s scared of just about everything under the sun! Her mix of emotions, from fear to anger, and everything in between, was an important lesson for me in creating a complex character for a children’s book.

Pinkū and Makkū are my original characters
